- I believe in God, and Jesus, and Heaven; but I don’t really believe in Hell.
- I believe that God did not take River from us.
- I believe that God didn’t have any involvement at all in what happened to us and to River.
- I believe that God only became involved after the fact, when we needed comfort and River needed a place to call home.
- I believe that River is safe in Heaven, and that someone is watching over her and caring for her in our place.
- I believe that Heaven is like a warm bed on a stormy night, it is a safe haven, a refuge, and a place of rest; but it is not a meeting place or a gathering place.
- I believe that we will not be reunited with River in Heaven.
- I believe that since we will not be reunited with River after our lives are over, we need to make her a part of our lives now.
- I believe that as long as we will it to be so a part of River will always be with us.
- I believe that our love for our daughter is strong and true, that it is a bond we share, and that she recognizes us through it.
We all have our own set of beliefs. We all find comfort in our own way. I wish for every person to find the comfort they seek this holiday season.

I believe River is alive in each of us. I love her very much and am still so thankful I was able to hold her and kiss her… this helps me to make her solid in my heart. Thank you for giving me this.
