- we won’t be taking River to the mall to sit on Santa’s knee and get a photograph for our Christmas Cards.
- we won’t be searching through hundreds of tiny red and white outfits looking for the perfect one for Christmas morning.
- we won’t be spending more money than we can afford on toys that we want more than she does.
- we won’t be using yards and yards of paper and ribbon to wrap dozens of gifts that she won’t even be able to open on her own.
- we won’t be struggling to figure out a travel schedule that will let everyone in the family get in snuggle time with River, and leave us with time for sleeping and feedings and relaxing just a little.
- we won’t be exhausting our supply of batteries and every byte of storage space on our iPhones and iPads taking photos and videos of River’s first Christmas.
- we won’t be passing out from exhaustion at 7:30 PM on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Eve.
